Behavior

  • active with lob tailing, flipper-slapping, and breaching
  • travel in large groups, but stay in close groups of 1-3 animals
  • capture prey through bubble netting

  • once whaled, but legally protected in 1966
  • now they frequently get caught in fishing nets
